Nick Cave,pajamas....LOUD AND OUTSIDE THE BOX!!!!!!!

Installation View, Jack Shainman Gallery, 2009

I have followed Nick Cave for a while now and I continue the exploration of this creative giant in creating these sound suits that examine sight and sound literally, what an entertaining idea.  Aside of this he also develops these elaborate dances, sculptures from found objects.  The inspiration is derived from a variety of global costumes, ideas and cultures.

Nick Cave has this Septembers spotlight in the Harper's Bazaar September 2012 Issue and has continued to explode in the arts scene with his sound suits along with artist Ed Rusha.  Editor-in-chief Glenda Bailey made a bold move by using these artist in a tight fashion industry. and industry where fashion is boss and very little can equal the designers and their creations.  See the slide show here!

Cave has an awesome show coming up in Texas, exhibition Nick Cave: Hiding in Plain Sight on view at the AMOA-Arthouse Jones Center through December 30, Nick Cave will discuss his artistic practice and process with Dr. Moyo Okediji, Director of the Center for Art of Africa and its Diaspora, University of Texas at Austin.  This opening takes place Wednesday October 24th 6:30-8:00 and FREE to the public.
